Eyepiece Diopter Housing Assembly

Overview

The diopter housing carries your eyepiece focus adjustment and gives it its feel. When that adjustment turns gritty, spins too freely, or will not hold the setting you chose, the housing is the part that gets replaced. It arrives already built up as a single unit — inner seat, outer adjustment ring, damping element and retaining element together — so you are not sourcing four small pieces separately and then working out the stack order on the bench. Pull the old housing, fit this one, and set your diopter. Fits the ARGUS BNVD-1431 MK2, ARGUS BNVD-931, and PVS-14 pattern monocular housings.

How to Operate

1) Remove the worn housing as a complete unit; there is no reason to pick it apart, since the replacement comes assembled;

2) Seat the new assembly squarely in its bore and turn the adjustment through its full travel, checking the drag is even end to end before anything goes back on top of it;
