Overview
A four-eye panoramic goggle is an awkward shape, and awkward shapes are what general-purpose cases handle worst. Put a PNVG-18 into an insert cut for something else and it does not sit square, or it sits in a pocket that is a little too generous — and a little too generous is all it takes. On the road the goggle works against the liner, the optical pods swing, and the objectives take the knocks. The insert in this case is cut to the outline of the PNVG-18 itself: the goggle has its own seat, it goes in one way, and it stops moving as soon as the lid is closed.
Key Features
1) The insert is cut to the outline of the PNVG-18, so the goggle has one defined seat instead of floating in a general pocket;
2) Hard-sided transport and storage sized around a four-eye panoramic goggle rather than a general rectangle;
3) Holds the optical pods still, so they are not free to swing against the case in transit;
4) Ready to use as it arrives, with nothing to cut, pack out, or improvise;
What's in the Box
One hard case
One insert set cut to the PNVG-18 outline
How to Operate
1) Set the case flat and open the lid fully before you lift the goggle in, rather than loading it one-handed at an angle;
2) Lower the goggle into the cutout in the orientation the insert is cut for;
3) Check that nothing is resting on the objectives and that the goggle sits below the line of the insert;
4) Close and latch the lid, then lift the closed case. Anything you can feel moving inside means the goggle is not seated;
Compatibility
