PVS31 / PNVG-18 Disassembly Tools Set

Overview

Taking a binocular housing apart comes down to engaging four things properly: the intensifier holder lock, the eyepiece retaining ring, the outer frame of the protective lens, and the diopter assembly. This set is one handle and four heads, each shaped to sit square in the feature it drives, so the load goes where you put it instead of into the tube. Heads change over on the same handle and lock on with a fixing screw.

How to Operate

1) Pick the head for the part you are working on;

2) Fit it to the handle and lock it with its fixing screw;

3) Seat the head fully in the feature before applying any turn; it should sit square with no rock;

4) Turn steadily, and if it will not move, stop and check the head is fully home rather than adding force;

5) Swap heads as you work through the assembly, checking the fixing screw is tight before each turn;
